Oh my goodness just where has the time gone, Christmas is almost here and there’s just so much to do as well as trying to run the business and get christmas orders out on time, there’s all the joyous present buying, wrapping, card writing and meal planning. I am however VERY lucky on the food front as I have the most amazing other half who just loves to cook 🙂 In fact he’s started his very own food blog to chronicle his many amazing recipes that we’ve been treated to over the last few years so I thought I’d take the chance to share his blog with you all AND my most favourite treat of the moment that he makes a few times a week.. Be warned it is rather addictive stuff 🙂 http://alittlethoughtforfood.wordpress.com/2012/11/28/chocolate_bourbon_shake/
Well it’s been a mad few weeks and I’ve finally recovered from a rather nasty flu bug ! One of the lovely things to happen during that time was that I found out I’d won a Pinterest Competition for my choice of adult shoes, boots or accessory from their website. All I had to do was create a mood board based around one of their styles of boots. Very immersing competition where you can really let your creativity flow. I thought I’d share my Steampunk inspired winning board with you http://pinterest.com/kimbats/myclarksstyle-week3/
I’m rather hooked now so this morning I entered for the final week of the competition and the results come out next week. My other half was so impressed with my win that’s he’s also put a board together and entered. You can find out about the competition here https://www.facebook.com/#!/clarks.shoes?fref=ts
I’ve also had a fun week building new Pinterest boards for clients which I’d thought I’d share with you. I’m pretty busy designing these at the moment and absolutely loving it, I think it appeals to all my creative urges 🙂 If you use Pinterest then do give them a follow as they’re all keen and eager and will be pinning lots of new content
http://pinterest.com/annnewnes/ Ann is an Area Manager for Jamie at Home and I had great fun sourcing pins for her Gardening and Chickens boards
http://pinterest.com/fionascakery/ Fiona makes custom cake for all occassions and I found some of the most exquisite silver jewellery pieces for one of her boards
http://pinterest.com/kluniquegifts/ Lou makes the most beautiful hand made products such as kindle/tablet cases, bunting and baby quilts, some great ideas for christmas presents !
Have fun Pinning everyone
Have you heard about Pinterest and would like to set up an account but haven’t a clue where to start ? I’m running a special offer for the next 10 clients as I’m passionate about getting businesses up and running on Pinterest and it will help me boost my client portfolio 🙂 So if you’d like a Pinterest account built for your business I will do it for just £10.00 for the first 10 people who enquire which is a saving of £55.00 . Either email email@example.com or message me here or facebook https://www.facebook.com/kim.larrad
We’ve added a FollowMe board at BlahBlahMe on Pinterest so it’s a great opportunity to not only gain more followers but also to find other like minded pinners to follow and enhance your pin content feed. I started this last week and already we have a diverse set of contributers. If you come and follow the board http://pinterest.com/blahblahmeuk/follow-me-board/ then I can add you as a Pinner and other members can start to follow you. Just accept the invitation to the board, add a pin to your pinterest page and include the link to your pinterest page in the description and watch your followers increase.
Don’t forget to also go and visit the other pinners on the board and follow their pages so we can all help each other 🙂
The last few week have been great fun creating new Pinterest boards for clients and I have to say the Pinterest ones give the most insight into people’s personalities and lives, I just love putting them together and getting brilliant feedback from the clients when they see that you’ve captured their likes, hobbies and business in pictures. What better way is there to spend an afternoon than researching a vast array of subjects, getting all creative and then presenting your vision to the customer. I just love putting them together and it appeals to my inquisitive side in really finding out lots about someone in order to convey their personality to the world.
If you haven’t got Pinning yet then just give it a try and see how utterly addictive it is :). If you’d like a helping hand then give us a shout and we can either build your account for you ( Just £65.00) or give you some guidance on how to best use the application. Just get your Pin It button installed on your browser bar ( easy to follow instructions for how to do this are on the Pinterest site under the About header and then Pin It Button)
I’ve included links to our most recent boards to give you an idea of what you can achieve.
